Images of Imam ("religious leader") Khomeini are all over the place, along with those of President Khatami and/or current religious leader Khameini. Images (usually paintings, but occasionally photos) of various modern-day martyrs from the Iran-Iraq war are also pretty common.
The photos of Khomeini are usually the exact photo shown here, with Khomeini sort of glaring off to his right with a scowl on his face. In fact, the exact same pose is used on the money. Kinda strange, with the thousands of photos of him that must exist, that only this one gets used.
By the way, the color of the turban has significance: a black turban means the wearer can trace his ancestry back to the prophet Mohammad (along the male line).
